Hello
my fellow fan club! Long time no talk, well you know what I mean! I
feel like there is so much to write about then at the same time I can
think about absolutely nothing, so we will just start from the beginning
I guess!
This
week, March 27th, I realized that it had been a year since I opened my
mission call! Crazy how time flies! It feels just like yesterday that I
was opening that and now I am serving the Lord in Oregon! I am so
grateful for the days that I get to share the gospel. I am so grateful
for that mission call!
This transfer is quickly coming to an end. For those who don't know the next transfer is April 17th.
I think that I will be staying in Klamath Falls, but you never know. So
if anyone is planning on sending anything please keep that in mind (:
The
other day we had such a cool experience. We were planning on having a
lesson with someone at 8, but then they cancelled. So sad. So then we
were trying to figure out what to do for the 8 o'clock
hour. Well I opened up to Area Book and decided to call this guy that
we literally had not been able to get in contact with. Well we called
him and he answered! And he literally said, man lets meet at the church
at 8! I thought this was amazing so we tried calling a member to come
with us. Well we found a member and called him back... and he cancelled.
I was so bummed. But he rescheduled for the next day. And we actually
didn't know where he lived because when we first met him he wasn't at
his house. Guess what. He literally is on the corner of our area.
Basically if he lived even across the street he would be out of our
area. God is so good. So Sister Roach and I literally went out there and
stood on his porch and talked to him for an hour and a half. He is the
happiest guy I have ever met and he has gone through so many trials.
Literally his girlfriend died in 9/11, his mom left him when he was
young and he has been unemployed for years. But he is so happy. And when
we asked him why he was so happy he told us that it was because of
Jesus Christ. I am so excited to see how much he progresses. And his
girlfriend is moving in with him this week, so we will have another lady
to teach as well! MIRACLE!
This
last week we had interviews with President Russell. I love that man.
Interviews was so great and we were able to discuss a lot. The main
question that I asked him was how I can be a better STL for the sisters
in my zone. He talked about how as I work that the sisters in my zone
will see my love for the work. He talked about as we love the Savior
more then anything else that we will be able to work to the best of our
abilities. Why wouldn't we love the Savior more then anything as we are
doing his work? I love my Savior and I want to work my hardest. I
realized that day interviewing with President Russell was the kick start
of something that I needed. I hope that I can continue to help the
sister in my zone to the best of my abilities.
This
last week I was able to go on exchanges with lovely Sister Pfau. She is
so so great. I love her a lot. She came out with me so we bond over
that, but also she is just a calm soul who really loves doing the work.
We went straight to work and did a lot of tracting. We were able to make
the goal of finding 3 new investigator, passing out 5 Books of Mormons
and talking to at least 30 people. Man we exceeded those goals by a lot!
We did a lot of tracting, it felt so good. By the end of the night our
feet hurt so bad and we were exhausted. One thing that Sister Gregory
who always say was "you need to earn your pillow every night" and that
night I really felt like I earned my pillow!
There were so many other miracles happening in Klamath Falls. I am so grateful to be serving here!!!!
I
hope that you were all able to watch, well you know what I call it, The
Super Bowl, but really General Conference. I loved literally every
second of it, I laughed and I cried and of course I felt the spirit
which is the most important thing. We were able to watch of course the
woman's session the Saturday
before, and then we were able to watch all of the other sessions at the
church. We did go for the last session to a members house who was kind
enough to feed us lunch as well as watch conference with us. One
scripture that kept coming to my mind through out the entire conference
is found in Doctrine & Covenants section 1 verse 38 and that reads:
38
What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not myself;
and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall not pass
away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice or by the
voice of my servants, it is the same.
I
know that as we watched conference this last weekend that it was our
Heavenly Father sending us the information that we need in our lives
right now to be able to accomplish all of the trials and duties that we
have in this life. One of the talks that I absolutely loved and I want
all of my investigators to read was Joaquin E Coasta, who talked about
his conversation story to the gospel. I loved the 4 steps that he talked
about that all investigators need to do.
1. Meet with the Missionaries *cough* *cough* meaning ME!
2. Go to Church, confusion is okay, just remember what you are feeling.
3. Read the Book of Mormon.
4. Repent and Change to be able to come to know Jesus Christ more.
I
hope that I will be able to use this talk in my future to be able to
help my investigators realize the importance of meeting with the
missionaries. I am so grateful for the time that I have to be a
missionary and to be able to hear from the apostles of God to be able to
receive guidance in our lives. I hope that you all were able to watch
an appreciate it, and if you didn't, go onto lds.org right now and get started!!
Thanks
for everything that you all do for me. I am so grateful that I was able
to email today and to be able to hear from everyone! I hope this next
week is just so great for everyone! Don't forget about the things that
we learned about in Conference and I hope that you can apply those
things into your life. Love you all and miss you so much! Have a great
week!
--- Remember who you are and who God expects you to become. ---
PS. Check out the Prince of Peace Video and let me know how you have been able to obtain peace through our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Awkward part zone pictures at the bowling alley!
I WON AT BOWLING TODAY! I AM THE CHAMPION MY FRIENDS!
The weather has been beautiful the last couple of days.
Springtime is in the AIR!! The daffodils outside our apartment are blooming! It was so lovely.
This magical thing happened, Klamath Falls has a Wingers! I about died. I needed a sticky finger salad. Members here are great!
We took a Sisters picture after a session of General Conference! Sister Allen, Sister Roach, me, Sister Pfau, Sister Santa Maria and Sister Cortez. So Cute, I love these sisters!
Exchanges call for a trip to Dairy Queen!
Went on exchanges with Sister Pfau and we found a bunch of goats while tracting. Literally I thought one of them was fake because it was just sitting on the rock and not moving, don't worry it was real.
