So much SUGAR, SUGAR, SUGAR

Well hey there Fan Club! For those who don't know, I am here in Klamath Falls for another 7 weeks! It is weird to think that I haven't been in an area for this long since Roseburg, by the end of the transfer I will be here for 4 and a half months. The time has gone by so fast though so I think that it has been that long, so I know that the next 7 weeks will just fly by, so it is time to get to work. President Russell sent me an email this week telling me that this next transfer is going to be my baptizing mission, and I believe him! It will be a great transfer here in Klamath, I am excited! We had Elders in our Ward last transfer but they have been taken out. So now we just have sisters here! It is weird because I have always served in a ward with Elders so it will be different to have a ward all to ourselves, but I am excited!

Man, can I just tell you how much fun it is to have a your Birthday while you are on your mission? So much fun! I had such a good Birthday and I think that I ate so much sugar that I think I am going to go diabetic. No jokes. But I felt really spoiled! The morning started out with an alarm going off at midnight. I freaked out because the alarm that was going off was President Russell's Ringtone. I literally jumped out of bed so fast and I was SO mad. I got back into bed after I turned off the alarm was going off and I literally couldn't fall back asleep for another 2 hours. In the morning I went to go look at what alarm was going off and there was a little note from Sister Gregory telling me Happy Birthday! She just wanted to be the first one to wish me a Happy Birthday, made me feel special. I was able to have pancakes for Breakfast and able to go to church. I was so happy to have my Birthday sharing the same day as Easter Sunday. It was really a great experience. Sacrament Meeting was so special to hear everyone's thoughts about the Savior. We were able to sing with the Choir for Easter Sunday and it was really a great time. I loved every moment from church! After church we were able to go eat lunch and Sister Roach and I did Easter Egg hunts for ourselves through out the house. Lots of fun. Then we went out and went contacting people. It was kind of hard because it was Easter and not a lot of people wanted to talk to us, but you know at least we were showing Heavenly Father that we were willing to go out and do the work even though it was Easter Sunday. We had a great dinner planned with one of my favorite families here in Klamath Falls, the Clements. The fed us and the Elders and even got me a cake and ice cream for my Birthday, so much fun. And because it was my 21st Birthday they got me Sparkling Cider and Root Beer, lol. I thought it was great and I had a really good time. At the end of the night Sister Roach was kind of acting weird, but I was just shaking that off and we went to the church to go sync for the week. Well when we got there I thought that it was weird because there were so many cars there in the church parking lot. When we went into the Relief Society Room it was quiet and dark and then all of a sudden a bunch of missionaries popped out of no where! They then started spraying me with silly string and singing Happy Birthday. It was so much fun. Really truly such a great birthday experience! I loved every minute of it!

This week had so many miracles, lets start with this lady named Patty. Patty is a less active in the ward who we tried to meet with for a couple of weeks now when we do splits on Wednesdays. We stopped by and her daughter was home and she said my mom REALLY needs to talk to you, so call her. So we called her over and over again and things kept cancelling, but finally we met with her this week! Seriously right when we got to her house she didn't even let us ask her how her day was, she just asked us to say a prayer. After the prayer she began to talk about her whole life story and all of her medical problems. She told us that the medical problems that she was having ended up giving her mental problems, and when she went in and had surgery to fix her medical problems she woke up and realized that her complete mental health changed. And that for the last 6 years she didn't want to go to church at all. But now she has the desire and she is going to be back at church in 2 weeks! It was so awesome because literally two days before I knocked on her door during splits she said a prayer asking Heavenly Father what she needed to do. So then I knocked on her door and she knew that it was time for her to come back to church. It was really awesome to know that I was in the right place at the right time and I was able to help someone come closer to Christ.

For the last couple of weeks I have been trying to make contact with a former in our area book named Christa. And literally every time I tried to go and share a message with her and she tells us that her kids are sick, or that she was busy. But man. I kept feeling that I needed to go and visit her. So finally this week we went and she told us that her kids were sick, again. But I asked her if I could show her a video. And she said YES! So finally I was able to show her with Prince of Peace. And during the whole video she had a smile on her face and she just loved it. And we were able to step a return visit with her for this week. I am so excited. I love how the spirit can tell us to go do things, and as we obey the spirit that we will be able to feel all of the blessings.

This week we were able to go to Zone Conference over in Medford and we were able to receive guidance from our Mission President. It was so awesome! We were able to learn a lot about our purpose as missionaries. At one point we had to do a role play and had to talk about 9 different bullet points. And guess who I got to do the role play with, President Russell. It was a learning experience. I literally did the Role Play in 28 seconds. Lol. But he said that I did really well and I think I learned a lot from it. At Zone Conferences we were able to do car inspections and guess who won the car inspections!!! Sister Roach and I! And guess what we won, a bottle full of Wax for our car... yay!

Its been a great week full of miracles, I am sure there is more to talk about but there is so much going on because it is transfer day, so I cant think of anything else to write....

Because my spiritual message was so long from last week I decided to just share one of my favorite scriptures that I have been studying lately. The scripture is found in Doctrine and Covenants 80:

3 Wherefore, go ye and preach my gospel, whether to the north or to the south, to the east or to the west, it mattereth not, for ye cannot go amiss.
4 Therefore, declare the things which ye have heard, and verily believe, and know to be true.
5 Behold, this is the will of him who hath called you, your Redeemer, even Jesus Christ. Amen.

I know that as I have been a missionary that when ever we are doing what we are supposed to be doing that we will fully be doing the work that our Lord wants us to do. And that I have truly been called to do the work her in Oregon from our Savior. And I will continue trying to do the hardest and being the most obedient here in Oregon. This is my Baptizing Transfer!!!

Thanks for all that everyone does back at home. I love you all and miss you!!!

----Remember who you are and who God EXPECTS you to become----

Love, Your Favorite Sister Missionary,

Sister Harrison
