Walking Week 🚢🏻‍♀️🚢🏻‍♀️🚢🏻‍♀️🚢🏻‍♀️

5/23/2017

What a week Fan Club! This week was our walking week and you know, it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. I gained a lot of appreciation this week for 1. Elders who don't have cars 2. The Pioneers and 3. Homeless people who walk around all the time. No joke. But you know, after 30 miles of walking in the sun we were able to gain pretty great tan lines and more muscles. By the end of the week we figured that we were ready to join the Boy Scouts on their 50 miler, do you think they will accept us? Lol

Oh my goodness, we had such an amazing experience on Friday!!! We tracted into this lady named Camille and at first she seemed a little timid. We asked her if she had a faith in Jesus Christ and she said yes, we asked her how that has helped her in her life and she responded by saying I hope that it helps me through today. She seemed pretty emotional. We explained to her the Book of Mormon and ask her if she knew anyone that was LDS and she told us that her best friend recently converted. We explained that the Book of Mormon has a promise that if we read it and if we pray about it that we will know that it is true. We asked her if she thought we could receive answers to prayers today, and she responded I sure hope so. We invited her to read it and she agreed. We then asked if we could say a prayer with her, which isn't normally something that we do, but we felt prompted, and she said yes please, then we asked if there was anything specific she wanted us to pray for and she said her health. She suddenly started to cry and kept apologizing. The spirit was so strong. We then prayed for her and she cried during the whole prayer, and by the end all of us were crying. Seriously, love the spirit. We told her we would come back in a week and she said of course! Then, we texted her that night to try and see how she was doing, and she didn't respond. And we were SO sad. And then on SUNDAY she texted us back saying that she is so excited and grateful to read the Book of Mormon!!! Woohoo! We meet with her on Friday.

This week we were able to meet with the Morelos Family, this is a family that the 4th ward elders have been teaching for awhile now. BUT they are moving into our ward on JUNE 1st!!! YAY! The father can't be baptized for awhile because he is working on somethings, but we were able to meet with the Mom on Friday! We sat down and taught her about the Restoration of the Gospel and she ate up every bit of it. As we continued to talk we were able to explain the Book of Mormon and invite her to read it. She said yes and then we invited her to be baptized AUGUST 5th!!! And she said yes! Also, they have a 9 year old daughter who is turning 10 and she wants to be baptized too! She was supposed to be baptized this week but with some scheduling things we are going to have to move it back a bit. But we are so excited to teach this family. We feel like our ward here in Klamath Falls has been shrinking for the last couple of months, a lot of people moving out and such. So it will be so great to have a family with 5 young children investigating the church! Woot woot!

This week while we were on foot we were able to find so many new investigators! We found 11!!! It was so epic, the work is moving forward, some weeks it is slow but all in all it is in the forward direction! So excited to see what this week has in store!

So funny thing, everyone in the Ward is starting to notice how long Sister Roach and I have been together, but we still have two weeks! We tell them 10 weeks and they are like, wow that is like eternity. Ummm no it just means two transfers people!!

Oh I almost forgot! We had been trying to meet with this guy named Vic for weeks! His ex wife is a member in a ward here in Klamath Falls and we have been trying but he works grave yard shifts so he is asleep when we usually come by. But this week he said okay, come by at 10 am, I promise I will be awake. So we walked 4 miles! Just to get to his house. Once we got there he started to bear his testimony about how he knows the church is true, that he knows the Book of Mormon is true, modern day prophets, everything! It was so powerful! When we asked him why he hasn't been baptized he said that he is just really busy and has a hard time getting to church. We asked him if he would be willing to make the sacrifice so that he could be baptized and he said yes! We put him on date to be baptized on July 1st WOOT WOOT!

We also had Zone Conference yesterday in Medford, the reason why our Pday was today... But I can not even tell you how much I am going to miss President and Sister Russell. We learned so much yesterday and truly felt spiritually fed. We learned about how to teach the commandments, how to work better with members, and just heard some really powerful testimonies of our Savior. I know my Savior lives and loves everyone of us. And when I hear other people testifying of him, it strengthens my own. So anyone who might be reading this email I would love to invite you to send your testimony of the Savior to me next week (: but all in all it was just wonderful. Even Sister Roach and I had the opportunity to teach. We taught on the importance of daily and weekly Planning, and President Russell came up to us after and said we did a wonderful job, I give all credit to the spirit!

As I was studying my Conference Ensign from October this week, I was reading one of the messages that are wonderful Prophet, Thomas S Monson, was able to give. The talk was entitled "The Perfect Path to Happiness". In the talk one of my favorite quotes was:
"We are blessed to have the truth. We have a mandate to share the truth. Let us live the truth, that we might merit all that the Father has for us."
It reminded me of the scripture found in Doctrine and Covenants 16:6, which reads:
6 And now, behold, I say unto you, that the thing which will be of the most worth unto you will be to declare repentance unto this people, that you may bring souls unto me, that you may rest with them in the kingdom of my Father. Amen.
We don't have to declare repentance by getting up on a soap box in the middle of the town share and preach. We can do exactly what President Monson asks of us, and that is to share the truth by the way we live. And I know that part of the merit that our Heavenly Father is willing to give us is happiness on this worth more then we could comprehend. I am grateful to HAVE the truth, I am grateful for the mandate to SHARE the truth. Now let us all LIVE the truth!

Sorry this email is a little bit everywhere, we are heading down to California today to see the Lava Beds National Monument, lots of pictures to come next week! But thank you for your continued support and love Fan Club! I hope you all have a fabulous week, and don't forget about me next week (:

Just another week in the Falls! πŸ’¦

May 15, 2017

Hey lovely fan club! It has been a great week here in the Klamath Falls area of Oregon! We are continuing to work hard and to find more people to teach. I feel like I don't have a lot to write about since I just Skyped home yesterday... and had Pday on Wednesday. But we will write and see what comes to mind!

Skyping home was a lot of fun. It was good to see everyone on Mothers Day. After a lot of technical difficulties we finally were able to both see and hear each other, lol. I thought at first that about 20 minutes with each part of my family was NOT going to be enough time. But then it just seemed like the perfect amount. Especially after we had dinner with a family last night and she told us that when her son was on his mission that they only got 3 minutes per family member, she said that only gave him 18 minutes to talk! So suddenly I am very grateful for the time that we were able to talk, even if it seemed short!

Last Wednesday as a Zone for Pday we were able to play some ultimate Frisbee. It was a lot of fun, Sister Roach and I went even though we didn't really want to. But it ended up being a blast. Although, no one really thought about putting sunscreen on. So for the rest of the week the zone resembled Lobsters. And no one really drank a lot of water, so we also we were all exhausted and had headaches. Mistakes were made and we are all going to learn from those mistakes next week when we go to the Lava Beds.

When we were at correlation this week with Brother Teeples he was telling us about how much the ward appreciated the work that we are doing. Every week we have been going out with members to try and contact Less Active members. And every time we make contact with these people they have been counting it as Visiting or Home Teaching. Well our ward on a good month usually gets like 30% of their home teaching done. The month of April they were able to read a little above 50%! I thought that was great, I am not sure why we are the ones that have to help them reach that point, but I am glad that we are making a difference and helping to strengthen the ward in which we serve.

The other day while Sister Roach and I were tracting we accidentally tracted into a Less Actives house. She opened the door then walked away, which we thought was weird, apparently she was spraying her dogs so they wouldn't attack us. But eventually she let us in, and us coming by was an answer to her prayer. Her son has some disabilities so it makes it very difficult for them to come to church. But she had been having a rough day and when we knocked on the door she knew it was an answer. We told her a short message and left. But it just showed me that God truly knows us personally and it willing to answer any questions or concerns that we may have. We just have to have Faith.

In Oregon, there are a lot of dogs and cats. So much to a point where it makes me think that I never want to own a dog ever in my life. It is kind of sad, but you know after you have been chased by 4 dogs in one day, you are kind of done. But the other day we had something cool happen! We were walking up to a house and suddenly 2 little kittens popped out of NO where! It was amazing. Usually we just see full grown dogs and cats, but you know, if puppies and kittens start chasing us, I wouldn't be mad.

We were able to do quite a bit of tracting this week to be able to find new investigators. And there was only one interesting experience that we had really. Luckily most people are kind and just say they aren't interested. Well the other day this guy told us that our views and our beliefs were different then his. And whenever people say that I just ask them what they believe. Well he started to explain to me Darwinism and how things were created. It was interesting, until he got to the point where we started to talk about how Jesus was just a normal guy with good morals. Then Sister Roach and I just looked at each other and thought "man this guy needs the gospel." But alias he was not interested, maybe one day his seed will grow.

We had a return appointment with this awesome person that we met this last week. She grew up in a foster family who was LDS and actually went to church quite a bit with them when she was growing up, then when she was living in Portland she lived next door to some Elders and she would always talk to them. Basically she is GOLDEN. I was sorta nervous to go back because I was pretty sure she was YSA age, and that we would have to give her to the YSA missionaries. But we went and she started to talk about how she forgot about the appointment, that her pregnant brain gets the best of her sometimes. BECAUSE SHE IS PREGNANT SHE IS NOT YSA. Miracle. We rescheduled for this week and she is excited to meet with us!

We are struggling a little bit with our people on date, so if you could all pray for John and Tyanne, that would be FABULOUS!

Something so amazing happened last night, so after we called home and went to dinner, we only had about an hour to do some tracting/contacting. We didn't find much success and so I was a little disappointed. BUT then as we were pulling into our we got a call from some Elders in our Zone who had a referral for us! They have a person on date, a little girl, and currently they are teaching the whole family and the family is going to be moving into our Ward! Epic! So the little girl is on date, and we will be working with the mom and dad. It will be awesome. THEN as we were about to get into bed we got a call from the Spanish Elders in the zone and they had a referral for us! It is a girl and her fiancΓ© who is trying to find a church in the area to go to! Again, EPIC! We will be meeting with them tonight.

Well fan club, the only other news for the week is that Sister Roach and I will be on foot all week. So please pray for us, lol. Some sisters in the zone, who live like 2 hours east from us, hit a deer about a month ago. So they currently have our car, and we took their car to the shop this morning. I am telling you one thing, if my calves do not look good after this week, I think that there will be no hope for them!
image2.JPG

This morning we had a conference call with President Russell, and he brought up an interesting question that I want all of you to think about for yourself. He asked the missionaries of our mission to write down on a piece of paper approximately how much time during a weeks period of time that we spend thinking about the Savior. Not how long you go out and talk about the Savior, not how long you read about him, but honestly how much time you sit and just think about him. I thought this was an interesting question because I think a lot of us, even us as missionaries, can find that our number is lower then we expect, if we are being honest with ourselves. While I was taking into consideration I thought of the scripture 2 Nephi 25:26 which reads, "26 And we talk of Christ, we rejoice in Christ, we preach of Christ, we prophesy of Christ, and we write according to our prophecies, that our children may know to what source they may look for a remission of their sins."
I want you to invite you this week to think more about your Savior, he has done so much for us and he continues to do so much for us. We believe in the living Christ, the one who can help us through all of our trials and heartache. I know that as we strive to remember the Savior more through out our daily lives that we will be able to find more happiness and joy!

Well fan club, thanks for reading yet another update in the life of Sister Harrison. I hope that you all have a great week and that you WORK HARD! And don't forget next week that my Pday will be on Tuesday, but I won't have hardly any time to respond. But I would love to hear from you. HAVE A GREAT WEEK!

The Work is so Hot in Klamath---we are in NEED of A/C's

May 10, 2017

You know... It is weird that we are having Pday on a Wednesday. On Monday it felt like my body knew that I was supposed to go to the church and read my emails. But I am grateful for the time that we are given to prepare for the week ahead of us none the less! So for all of you reading this, thanks for your patience! You get to read yet another letter from Sister Harrison.

Last week we were able to go up to Eugene for Missionary Leadership Council, or as I call it MLC. The Zone Leaders and us follow each other on the way up there just to make sure we are all safe. Well, the Elders wanted to leave at 5 AM! What the. That would have meant waking up at 4! Uh no. We convinced them to leave at 5:30, well guess what. We were STILL an hour early. But at least we were safe! MLC is always a fun time. I love to be able to be in a small group of missionaries to talk about the things that our mission can do better. We learned a lot about leadership qualities and read a majority out of our white hand book. It is important to realize in any leadership role in the church it is a sacred trust to be put in that role. We also talked about being better goal setters and about being better at stating our purpose as a missionary. Every moment of MLC was just wonderful. I wish I could tell you all about it, but there is just no time!!

This week Sister Roach and I realized that sometimes we need to taste a bit of the bad to understand the good. It was a rough week in our area, we felt like every where we went and tracted that we just found people who wanted to prove us wrong. There was this one guy who told us that we need to RUN, RUN fast from all that you know and go repent and find the real Jesus, well sir... probably wont be going and doing that. But along with the bad experiences there were some good ones too. We were walking down the street and we met this last named Shirley. She was just walking to the grocery store (I feel like everyone in Oregon walks to the store, lol) and we just started talking to her. She told us how she is 86 years old and has a strong faith in Christ, but that she hasn't been to church in years. We were able to teach her about the Book of Mormon and how it has helped us in our lives. She LOVED it. Seriously. She said that she wanted to take it with her and that we could come back the next day! I cant wait to see how far she has gotten into that book! We also met an older man named Richard. He was a nice gentleman who told us that he wasn't interested in talking right now. Well, we don't take the first no in the OEM. So I just kept talking to him. He ended up talking to us for about 20 minutes. He would not take a Book of Mormon but he did take a Restoration Pamphlet. He told us that his wife recently passed away. So we were able to talk about the Plan of Salvation. It is interesting how we have to experience the bad doors before we can find the ones with the people who are prepared on the other side.

Last week we had a zone challenge so to speak. We decided to make a focus on the Book of Mormon. Everyone we talked to we would talk about the Book of Mormon. It is really interesting to see how many people know about the Book of Mormon! All week long the zone would send in #BOMmiracles as a text message so we could all read them. Our zone is literally on fire with missionary work. So much so that the heat outside is starting to get really hot and we think that we are all going to need A/C's lol!

Our Ward Mission Leader down here in Klamath sent us a really nice text message the other day, it said: You two are so good and so faithful to your calling. God will bless you and those you come in contact with through your efforts. Thanks for all you do!.... Brother teeples is basically the best and he is so great in helping the work continue to move forward! So glad I get to serve with him. He has a boat that he goes fishing in, its called the Liahona. I told him that I will come back and go fishing with him, he is holding me to that!

During a dinner this week a member literally fed us Root Beer floats, chocolate pudding AND cookies. Sister Roach and I could barely finish the chicken stew she made. I don't know how I am ever supposed to lose weight on my mission.

On Monday we were able to have interviews with President Russell. AND it happened to be President Russell's Birthday! So the zone got together and did two things that President Russell loves to see. 1. Missionaries on time to meetings and 2. Elders who have their shoes shined. We all got to the church building an hour early and did our personal study while we waited. Little did we know that President was driving all the way from Eugene and he ended up being 20 minutes late. So he never even knew we were early, but he did comment on all the nicely shined shoes, lol. We had a little training before interviews. It was great, we talked about the holy ghosts role in conversion and we also talked about the Book of Mormons role in conversion. It was super powerful and the spirit was truly there to testify to our hearts. We then had interviews. Have I ever told you how much I love interviews? I love sitting one on one with our Mission President and to be able to talk about our area and to hear his insights. In interviews he basically just told me that I am going a fabulous job down here, and that this is where I need to be. It was really reassuring and I know that he is a man called of God. Also during interviews President had us write on paper what we do for our Daily Planning Sessions everyday, he loved ours so much we get to teach about it in Zone Conference! Lucky us!!

After interviews I was able to go on exchanges with the Lakeview sisters! I went with Sister Wood. She and I served together on the coast but I didn't really know her. Because, in Brookings we never really saw other missionaries. But she is such a strong missionary! Basically the biggest thing that she wanted to try and work on was not talking so much, but every time she talks she is filled with the spirit! So I just told her to keep talking. We went straight to work and we were able to find 4 new investigators and we taught 7 lessons! I would love to be her companion. She truly taught me a lot and I was so grateful for her example. I am already using a lot of the tips that she taught me. It just goes to show that we are always learning in this life. There is always room to progress! Also she showed me how to have major self control. Usually after every exchange I take the sisters and buy them some ice cream. She refused saying she already had her sweets for the day. What the what. I need t be more like her!

I feel like so many more things happened this week... but I can't think of anything else to write!!

This week I studied a talk from this last conference that is entitled "Then Jesus Beholding Him Loved Him" by Elder S. Mark Palmer- for any of you who might not remember who this was, it was the man with the Australian accent, probably rings a bell! Anyway in his talk he mentioned a story that is pretty familiar with all of us that is found in Mark chapter 10. It reads:
“There came one running … and asked him, Good Master, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life?

“And Jesus said unto him, …
“Thou knowest the commandments, Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Defraud not, Honour thy father and mother.

“And he answered … , Master, all these have I observed from my youth.

“Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, take up the cross, and follow me.”

The words that stood out the Elder Palmer are ones that should stick out to us as well, Then Jesus beholding him loved him. When I looked up the definition of behold I found, to see or observe a person, especially a remarkable one. That is exactly how our Savior looks at each and everyone of us! We are remarkable sons or daughters of a Loving Heavenly Father. And our Savior Jesus Christ loves us so much! From this story I learned that because our Savior loves us so much, he expects a lot from us. The rich young man was keeping all the commandments that the Savior talked about, but before he asked a little more of the young man, he beheld him, then told him to leave all his worldly possessions and follow him. The young man wasn't able to do it. It isn't easy, but there is something in every one of our lives that to come closer to Jesus Christ we will have to get rid of. I invite anyone reading this to find that thing in your life that it is time to get rid of, and DO IT! I know when you do that you will be filled more abundantly with the Saviors love from your obedience.

"Anytime you feel you are being asked to do something hard- think of the Lord beholding you, loving you, and inviting you to let it go and Follow Him!"- Elder S. Mark Palmer

Well Fan Club, I hope that you have a fantastic week with many miracles! Thanks for all the love and support that is always shown, the work is moving forward and I am grateful to be a part of it! Until next time!

May 1, 2017

Oh my goodness fan club, this has probably been the best week yet in Klamath Falls! We have been so busy and working so hard that we have seen so many miracles!! Heavenly Father is truly willing to give us so many miracles if we just go to work!

We started teaching a lady named Barbara last week. She is currently living at a rehabilitation place because she has had some health things happen in the past. She was a referral from a member who happened to be her roommate. Barbara hasn't been feeling herself lately because of all of the different changes happening in her life since the health problems and so her son (who isn't a member I might add) told her that she should try and sit down with the missionaries! He grandson is a member of a branch here in the stake and he has seen a lot of happiness since he has joined the church and his dad has noticed that. So Barbara actually requested the missionaries!! So awesome. She has so much faith and she is so wiling to listen to us. And we invited her to be baptized and she accepted the date of May 27th!! We don't know if physically if she will be ready by that date, because currently she is in a wheelchair. But spiritually I think that she will be so so so ready!

This week we had a lesson with this man named Berry, Berry is a Buddhist. And it was such an interesting conversation that we had with him. His brother and mother were actually members of the church, but he decided to take his fathers view on things and has decided that he likes the buddhist way of thinking, although he told us flat out that he is a bad buddhist. But it is always interesting to see what other people believe and to try to, just for a second, think how they are thinking. I really enjoyed the conversation. Until it got to the point where we invited him to pray about the Book of Mormon, he has read it before but had never prayed about it. He told us he doesn't pray. And that BROKE my heart. To think that there are people out there who don't pray and don't receive that guidance is crazy. We taught him how to pray and he said he would try, so we will see if he does it this week!

We had a fun night with some members this week with going on splits. We were able to go with Sister Burton and Sister Mencl. I was with Sister Mencl and we had a list of 10 people and we made contact with almost every one of those people! We also made contact with every one of these peoples dogs!! Ahhh! We were seriously attacked at every door. It must have been the neighborhood that we were in because it was seriously terrible! I felt so bad. Her first time out with us and she experienced that. But it was fun. We were able to go get ice cream at the end and that made it all better!!

Oh what do you do in the Summer time.... you WALK. Luckily the weather has been SUPER nice and I have been able to work on my shoe tan line! Seriously Sister Roach and I have done so much walking this last week and a lot of tracting... So I know what you are all waiting for. My tracting experiences from the week. #1 This is the conversation we had with a man named Cameron... Us: Do you have faith in Jesus Christ? Him: Sort of. Us: What do you mean by that? Him: I believe there is a man upstairs with a sick sense of humor. Us: Ohhhh.... #2 BAD BASHING EXPERIENCE. This old man answers the door and says they aren't interested... okay we walk away and his wife comes out side. One thing I have learned, I always thought it would be the husbands that fight back, nope its the wives. She comes out and tells us how she went to Utah and while she was there she saw the MoTab and thought she was signing a paper to get some free music from them... nope she signed a referral paper and missionaries were at her door immediately. She wasn't happy and immediately began to tell us that her church had all the authority... all we could do was we respect your beliefs and walk away. BUT SHE WOULDN'T LET US WALK AWAY. We were there for like 15 minutes. #3 We decided to walk to a potential investigators house, and it ended up being further then expected. We walked almost a mile, in the sketchy part of our area, even walked by some, probably drunk people having a huge bonfire.... And he wasn't even home. So we decided to just knock two more doors because it was already 8:30, first door no answer, second door, answer and she wants us to come back!! Her name is Tamara and she is a single mom. Heavenly Father is truly blessing us in Klamath Falls!

One reason why I think we were blessed so much this week is because we had a mission wide fast. Last Monday we woke up and then had a phone call from the Zone Leaders saying President Russell had a special conference call happening at 6:40 am. We got on and President announced a Mission Wide Fast for success. And it was truly an awesome experience. Kind of hard because us and the Zone Leaders had just fasted on Sunday for the Zone to find success. But man it was so worth it! When we ended the fast as a mission President Russell told us how when he came to the mission they were averaging 100 ish new investigators a week as a mission. Last week our mission found over 400 new investigators! The Lord is truly moving is work forward!

Sister Roach and I have the pleasure of going on exchanges with the Sisters in our zone once a transfer for 24 hours. Here we just check and make sure everything is in line with the way they should be and to try and train them in whatever way we can. I was able to go with Sister Allen this week and I just love love love her. Seriously we are best buds for life. We were able to do some really great work. We had a lesson with a lady named Kathi, who we have been teaching for awhile. Kathi's biggest obstacle is that her mother will disown her if she joins the church. So she said that she is waiting for her mom to die. Well Sister Allen and I just took the lesson by the horns. Kathi told us that she had read quite a bit of the Book of Mormon since our last visit. She read 2 Nephi 31 and all of the verses that she liked the most were about baptism, so we played on that and ended up inviting her to be baptized. She said that she couldn't. Most people would say, man thats sad or, that was a waste of time. But to us it is more then that. It shows us that she really isn't prepared at this time and that we need to move forward and find more people who are. It is a good thing. So we have a lesson with her this week and we will probably be dropping her. On the other hand Sister Roach and Sister Francis were able to go and have a lesson with John & Tyanne. Tyanne is on date for baptism on June 3rd and so their goal was to put John on date too. And they did! John literally said, "I know that God sent your sisters to us." They are so awesome! And just a month ago John was saying that he wouldn't even become a Mormon. But now, he says that we have changed his whole perspectives on Mormons and says that he will pray to know that the Book of Mormon is true. We go see them tonight, I love them so much. They call Sister Roach, just Roach and they call me Sister Bailey (because of my Facebook), so I guess every one can just call me Sister Bailey!

This week Sister Roach and I set ourselves some pretty lofty goals. We planned on having 25 lessons this week, and finding 15 new investigators. By Friday we had only found 2 new investigators. But being some of the leaders of the Zone we knew that we had to work hard to accomplish our goals. So we did and it was accomplished!!! We found 15 new this week and had 25 lessons! Blessings of being diligent and obedient right there!

Just for your own information, the next couple of weeks, basically the rest of the transfer, we are going to have some weird Pdays, so if you want to email me you should probably get out your Calendar and write this one down! So today is obviously normal, but for the rest of the transfers Pdays will be on May 10th (Wednesday), May 15th (Monday), May 23rd (Tuesday, and that day we will be going to the Lava Beds as a zone, woohoo!), May 29th (Monday, Memorial Day) and then June 5th (Monday, which will be Transfer Day)! I hope that all makes sense πŸ˜ƒ But, just to be safe, you should all just email me on MONDAYS. Lol, you just might not hear from me that day....

Last night we had sort of a panic because we found out that the stake center in the area (where we normally email) was getting new carpeting and would be closed all week..... and the other church building in the areas wifi was down. So last night we were trying to find a place today where we could email.... So guess where we are today...

THE LIBRARY! It is a fun adventure lol!

This week I have been having a lot of different thoughts about the Book of Mormon, in 1 Nephi 13:40 & 41, we read what the Book of Mormon is:

40 And the angel spake unto me, saying: These last records, which thou hast seen among the Gentiles, shall establish the truth of the first, which are of the twelve apostles of the Lamb, and shall make known the plain and precious things which have been taken away from them; and shall make known to all kindreds, tongues, and people, that the Lamb of God is the Son of the Eternal Father, and the Savior of the world; and that all men must come unto him, or they cannot be saved.
41 And they must come according to the words which shall be established by the mouth of the Lamb; and the words of the Lamb shall be made known in the records of thy seed, as well as in the records of the twelve apostles of the Lamb; wherefore they both shall be established in one; for there is one God and one Shepherd over all the earth.

The Book of Mormon is a book that gives us those Plan and precious truths that we have lost in times before back. It is evidence that Heavenly Father still loves his children. Joseph Smith said of the Book, "the Book of Mormon is the most correct book on earth and the keystone of our religion..." it is the keystone of our religion in Christ, doctrine and testimony. The Book of Mormon brings together the world that was once lost and can now give us all hope. I have a very strong testimony of the Book of Mormon. I know it is true. Every time I read it I can feel the spirit testify to me that it is true. I want to invite anyone who is reading this email today who might be questioning to "look to the Book" and in turn you will "look to the Lord". (Gary E Stevenson, October 2016)

I am so grateful for every ones love and support while I am on my mission. It isn't easy, but I can tell you that it is SO worth it. These 18 months are going to affect the rest of my life and I just want to soak all of it in. I hope you all have a fabulous week and that you WORK HARD!!! Love you ❤❤❤

----REMEMBER WHO YOU ARE AND WHO GOD EXPECTS YOU TO BECOME----

Love, Your Favorite Sister Missionary,

Sister Harrison
